The Winton Medical Practice serves the primary medical needs of 5700 people in Central Southland, a prosperous agricultural community 30km north of Invercargill city. Our practice operates from a recently renovated, purpose-built premises consisting of five consulting rooms, a generous treatment area, a procedure room and a large reception/waiting room.
Current out-of-hours arrangements involve a cooperative with the Invercargill city doctors, operated from an out-of-hours clinic in the city. Winton enjoys the benefits of-having a base hospital nearby at Invercargill.
The practice services small rest homes, and serves as a teaching practice for Otago University medical students, GP Registrar and Nursing Students.
We also work in conjunction with District Nursing, Physiotherapy, and Podiatrists located next door to our premises.
